I love Robert Munsch. What a thrill to be asked to be one of the judges participating in the "Munsch At Home" contest in celebration of Family Literacy Day, put together by ABC Life Literacy Canada. The contest is simple: all you have to do to enter is write a 250 word fun story with your family about playing games and submit it online.
The grand prize winner will receive:
*A personal visit from Robert Munsch
*A public story-telling event with Robert Munsch at a literacy organization, school or public library of your choice.
* PLUS, your story will be published, along with a special illustration created by Michael Martchenko, illustrator of Robert Munsch's books, in a newspaper or magazine, and on the ABC Life Literacy Canada website.
10 runner-up stories will also receive a special Family Literacy Day prize pack, and their stories will be published on the ABC Life Literacy Canada website.
Fellow panelists include:
Robert Munsch - himself,
Craig Battle, Editor of Owl Magazine.
Tim Brown, CTV news
Erica Ehm, founder of the YummyMummyClub.ca
Diane Kerner, Scholastics Books Canada
Michael Martchenko, Illustrator
Jennifer Valentyne, Breakfast Television
Brandie Weikle, Editor of parentcentral.ca
