I am thrilled to tell you that one of the most esteemed Adlerian Parenting Educators is coming to Toronto from her home in Seattle. Dr Jody McVittie will be speaking on "Parenting From The Heart" on Sunday July 12th at the North Toronto Early Years Centre - Castlefield campus. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door and complimentary to the parents enrolled in the centre, but register to hold your spot!
Jody tackles whining, tantrums, homework hassles, tuck ins and the usual bag of parenting problems, but unique to Jody's style is showing how to solve the issues through the use of demonstrations and experiential activities. Very dynamic.
On a personal note, this is an event you won't want to miss. I don't know when Jody will be back this way again. I always seek out her sessions at conferences across the US. She is the lead trainer for all the Positive Discipline parent educators and is responsible for establishing the Positive Discipline in The Classroom program school-wide in over 10 schools in the Seattle area. Her teaching style is powerful and inspiring. No one knows kids, Adler, brain science and parenting techniques like Jody. Truly a master.
