Have you heard of Twitter? Basically, its a new way of social networking that is taking the world by storm. I have caught the itch. You can "follow" me on Twitter. Basically - you answer the question "What are you doing?" but you're limited to a concise 140 character answer. Okay - that wasn't very good marketing was it? What can I say, its more of an experiential thing. Here is a 10 part video tutorial series if you want to understand this latest phenomena.

cheers my dear!! Thanks for the advise - I wonder now if I will ever leave my computer

Is this much different from Facebook? They ask the same question - What are you doing not?

If you check out the tutorial - you'll see the difference more clearly. I kinda "left" being active at facebook because it was too busy, too annoying with all the "invites" etc...
I still post there for business, but I find Twitter is more real, and frankly helpful. I love following people like Ruth Reichel (editor of gourmet magazine) and hearing what she is eating, or what airport she is stuck in and where she is travelling too etc.. Gives me a little keyhole peek into the life of living in new york in the land of food!
My other parent educator friends share and ask for resources so I learn so much too and its all relevant. I post a mixture of my activities: going for a jog, trying out the new trail shoes.... or Just back from giving a talk at a momnet group, etc.... as well as posting links like the one to the charity my daughter is in and who is taking a vow of silence to raise awareness for child poverty around the world. I might " tweet" does anyone have any research on teen pregnancy and effects on educational pursuits.
I don't think its for everyone - but I am really enjoying it!
