I have been running with two other women for about 4 years now. We've decided to run the Mississauga half marathon this May. I am the youngest and the slowest of the trio. These two women truly inspire me. I never could do this alone.
Our training reminds me of a great Adler quote:
"no task is too big if it is a common task"
We all need the support of others. I hope my website helps make parenting a common task and lightens your load.
If you're racing in Mississauga let me know! Maybe we could pull a team together.
Hey Alyson. Being a Dad, exercising during pregnancy was no big deal for me. ;-) My wife, however, had an entirely different experience. She's an accomplished Triathlete and Runner with three full Ironman races and half a dozen marathons to her credit. When she was pregnant with our first, she ran almost every day up to and including the last month!
Our second child was no barrier and Christianne kept up her fitness all through the pregnancy. Our children are now 6 and 4 and she's still out there. This year, she'll be taking part in two more Half Ironmans! If I ever need a role model to keep me focused on staying fit, I never have to look far.
