Did anyone catch the article on the cover of the Saturday STAR's Life Section (January 20th, 2007)? Trish Crawford did an article on Generation X'ers parenting. She interviewed me about this generation and I was quoted in an subsequent attached article on the second page entitled Fear Palpable in Post-9-11 Parents.
Here is my question to you...
Does this article sound like I am say that parents today DO have things to worry about? My husband thought it did. I read it and felt it was ambiguous about my stance - so I really want my readership to know:
I think parental fear is at paranoid levels and is crazy making and detrimental to childrearing!
Just in case there was any confusion about my opinion. Phew! :)

Yes, I read the article and the interviewers record of your comments does sound a bit non-commital but a great article all the same. And, you are right that things have gone "over the top" with regard to children and safety issues in today's society.
