I was thinking more on my last blog post and realized that maybe people don't feel much like reading about the holocaust during their winter family holiday time --- so scratch that recommendation for now (a better read for mid-winter) and instead why not watch It's A Wonderful Life for yet another example of how we can change our perspective and attitude on our life situation. Surely you remember: We start the movie with George Bailey who has lost the money from the Savings and Loan and the bank examiner is coming to arrest him so he decides to end his life. He is saved by Clarence who helps to change George's attitude. By the end of the movie George is running home to his wife and kids so happy to be alive and bankrupt and potential jail bound. The situation didn't change -- but his viewpoint did. :)

Of course even with It's A Wonderful Life, you need to watch it right through until the end to get to the joyful, uplifting part!
